Life Rambles: Life Lately – July

Today we’re having a little life lately update, so read on for what happened in July.

Reading I’ve read four books so far this month; The Paris Mysteries (Confessions #3), James Patterson, Before We Met, Lucie Whitehouse, Too Close to Home, Linwood Barclay and Triptych (Will Trent #1), Karin Slaughter. I think that’s a new monthly record for this year. Honestly I can’t believe I’ve read so little recently, it’s crazy, and what’s ever weirder is that I can work out why I haven’t been reading.

Celebrating  My youngest sister graduating from Sheffield University with a Law degree. I am so proud. Plus it was the perfect excuse to have a good old family get together.

Eating Bakewell Tart, in Bakewell.

Dreaming about a long weekend in France. Time to reminisce with old friends and explore a beautiful country.

Spending on Gap sales, house removals and euros for my holibobs.

Drinking Pimms and plenty of bubbles.

Playing board games at Draughts, the board game cafe – Game of Life, Cluedo, Bananagrams and Operation to name a few of the games I enjoyed.

Running Still in the Surrey countryside and still not as often or as far as I should be.

Wishing that I could move my favourite pub from Surrey up to Streatham. It’s the best place to wile away a few hours with friends. Plus the ham and cheese ploughmans is delicious.

Obsessing over paint colours. There’s just too much to choose from! Obviously it’s not a bad state to be in.

Planning New house things. It looks like we’re finally getting there.

Watching Everyman at the National Theatre. What an utterly amazing play. The staging is stunning and  Chiwetel Ejiofor is incredible.

Smiling over these gorgeous sunflowers. The perfect thing to brighten a gloomy day when the sun has disappeared.

Enjoying Long sunny evenings in the garden, playing badminton, watching the birds and eating outside.

Listening to Back to Black on repeat. After watching Amy as the cinema I’ve been obsessing over her voice all over again. Simply stunning.
