Today we are moving house. We have finally, finally exchanged and completed on a property. If you’ve been around these parts at all over the last few months then you’ll be aware that we’ve had some issues, to say the least, with this move. But the end is finally here and everything was worth it in the end.
In celebration here’s our house move in numbers.
50 meters of bubble wrap
45 boxes of books
One very sad goodbye to our awesome first flat
Many many evenings spent in the garden watching the birds fluttering around (the perks of living in the countryside)!
One house purchase that fell through and one even nicer house found
1 storage unit full of all our possessions (most of which we can’t remember even exist)
Two teams of super-strong removal men
One lovely pack of Colin Caterpillar cakes to keep us going on the move day – thanks Emily. You’re awesome!
Twenty books added to the collection
19 weeks at the parents house
95 days (each) commuting into London from the Surrey suburbs
87 of which were early starts. Who doesn’t love getting the 7.19am train?
8 even earlier starts – 6.50am. Eurgh
Approximately 200 instances of commuter rudeness
Only one Foyles shopping trip at Waterloo – a miracle I know!
1 new clothes rail bought and filled (oops)
Three pots of chalk paint and one piece of improved furniture
Many, many delicious home cooked meals
One too many purchases from Joules and Oliver Bonas at Waterloo Station when waiting for the train
One fireplace that needs removing asap
Two very excited almost homeowners (fingers and toes crossed)!

LOL that fireplace!!! Congrats homeowners!!!
I know right! It’s just extra special in a really bad way! Lx
did you buy a greek palace with that fireplace?! haha. Congrats!!!
Surprisingly we didn’t, although that would have been nice! I honestly wonder what some people were thinking with their decor, I mean how is that fireplace ever a good idea?!
