In the Kitchen: Festive Bakes #4 – Melted Snowmen Biscuits

This time next week it’ll be Christmas Eve and I won’t be at work and it’ll be properly Christmas and oh my goodness I CAN’T wait! This week has been particularly hellish, so the thought of Christmas being just a week away is amazing. And to be honest, the only thing getting me through. Well that and baking all the festive things, any excuse basically! Festive bakes are the best bakes!

This week on the festive bakes menu we have wondrous melted snowmen biscuits, which I’ve been wanting to make for the longest time after spotting them on the festive joy that is Pinterest. They just make me giggle when I see them and they’re also so simple. What’s not to love. Plus I love a snowman, the 15 festive ones I have are testament to that.

There’s no real recipe for this one as it’s a case of sticking a marshmallow to your favourite baked biscuit, then pouring icing on the rest of the biscuit and then decorating as much or as little as you want. We went for mini smarties for the nose and buttons and then some black icing pen for the coal facial features. Easy peasy! I think giant chocolate buttons and pretzels, for the hats and arms respectively, would be a good shout as well.

So there we have it, another super easy festive bake and possibly my favourite yet! Tell me, what’s your favourite Christmas recipe?
