Life Rambles: Friday Favourites #21

Once again this post is coming to you on a Saturday instead of a Friday. Unlike Fi last week I didn’t forget to write this, but I did expect it to be a day late. You see I’ve been in India for the past week and only returned on Friday, so I knew it was highly unlikely that I would get around to writing this before I landed, or in fact at any point on Friday after my return. Instead I’m ensconced in front of the TV, in my pajamas with a puppy on my lap tapping away writing this. #winningatlife right now!

This week has been a great week. Like I said I’ve been Delhi, India since last Saturday on a work trip and I’ve had an amazing time. I expect I’ll write another post on this in the future but for now I’ll leave you with this photo of the Red Fort, this photo is one of my favourites from the trip, the colours of this place are stunning.

Tomorrow I’m running my third half marathon so today is all about carb loading before the big day. I love a good excuse to eat all the bread and pasta. Breakfast has been lashings of french bread and dinner tonight is macaroni cheese. Yum, yum, yum. Let’s ignore the fact that I’m feeling horrendously jet lagged right now. I’m sure by tomorrow i’ll be raring to go *wishing and hoping*.

In order to fight the jet lag I’ve decided to have a lazy Saturday, doing nothing but sitting, reading, blogging and eating! I’m staying at the parents right now which means I’m enjoying puppy cuddles too. I’m typing this  whilst sat on the sofa with Luna warming my feet. We’ve been in this position for over an hour so far, and I think it’s only going to change when we go for a walk.

During my lazy morning I’ve been catching up on BBC2 drama The Night Manager. Have you been watching? How good is it? I’m totally hooked – hence my need to watch the episodes I’ve missed before tomorrow night.

Last up for this week’s Friday Saturday Favourites is a shot of the glorious Surrey countryside up near Polesden Lacey. I finally dragged myself out of the house to join the other members of the Evans clan on Luna’s walk. Is it just stunning?

Right now I’m off for a nap in front of the rugby. I hope you have something equally fun planned!
